Fees
Last updated 28 August 2026
What you pay depends on how the money moves — a card payment carries costs a balance transfer doesn’t, and receiving crypto costs nothing at all. Rather than average that into one headline number, we charge for what actually happens and show you the breakdown.
Every charge is itemised. Open any transaction in your wallet history and you’ll see the gross amount, each fee that applied, and what was left. The figures on this page are the ones in effect right now, and the exact amount is always shown before you confirm anything.
Getting paid
- Card, Apple Pay or Google Pay — a Moneyr fee of 2% of the payment, plus the card processor’s own fee, passed through at cost. Both come out of what you receive, so the payer is charged exactly the amount they agreed to.
- From another Moneyr balance — the 2% Moneyr fee. There is no card processor involved, so there is no processing fee.
- Crypto — free. We charge nothing to receive a deposit into your wallet.
Adding money
- By card — topping up runs through your own pay page, so it costs the same as being paid by card: 2% plus the processor’s fee.
- Indonesian bank transfer — the bank charges a flat fee for issuing the virtual account (Rp 4,000 on Mandiri at the time of writing). It is set by the bank, not by us, and shown on screen before you transfer. Converting the rupiah into dollars uses the 2% conversion margin below.
- Crypto — free to receive. The 2% margin applies only if you convert it to dollars.
Converting crypto to dollars
Cashing out crypto is priced at 2% against the live rate — you are credited that much less than the raw market rate, and there is no separate fee on top. The rate you see in the cash-out screen is the rate you get.
Sending money out
- Bank payout — a flat $4.99 per transfer, or $1.99 to an Indonesian bank. Minimum payout $20.00.
- Paid out in a currency other than dollars — a 3% margin against the mid-market rate, baked into the rate you are quoted. The amount that will land is shown before you confirm.
The Moneyr Card
- Ordering a card: free.
- A card must be loaded with at least $20.00. Moving money onto a card is not a fee — it stays yours, and closing the card returns whatever is left to your balance.
What we never charge for
- Signing up, or holding a balance.
- Receiving crypto.
- Monthly or account maintenance fees.
- Having money sit unused.
Changes
These fees can change. When they do, the new figures apply to transactions made after the change, never retroactively, and this page always reflects what is currently charged. Questions about a specific charge? Contact support and we’ll walk you through it.
